Finding the coolest love hotel in Kyoto, when you are visiting Japan, might take a while since there are a lot of hotels designed specifically for adults. They are laid out to the highest standards and the guests are more than satisfied enjoying the facilities and services these hotels offer. Some of the hotels have spa services, so guests can easily spend ample time there relaxing.
An important thing to remember are that none of these hotels allow pets, so if you are a pet lover and are traveling everywhere with them, listen to my advice. My girlfriend and I once tried to enter a love hotel with our dog, but were refused entry and immediately reminded of the hotel policies.
Now, whenever we travel to Japan, especially to Kyoto, we don’t take our dog with us since this is a love hotel and it’s understandable to have such a policy. It is created so the couple can enjoy their time with each other and not having to tend or cleanup after their pets.
How to Find the Coolest Love Hotel? Look no Further Than Kyoto!
Here are some of the hotels with highest recommendations located in Kyoto.
Hotel Chapel Cinderella
Best part about this Hotel is that it’s located just a 10 minute walk from the Heian Jingu Shrine, Kyoto Art Museum and the Nanzen-ji Temple. The price is affordable so you and your partner can use your money to enjoy the many sights and sounds of Kyoto.
The rooms are designed in a modern, sophisticated style with a fun Karaoke system where you can sing ’til your hearts content.
It is a cozy hotel with comfortable beds, free parking, drinks vending machine and Continental breakfast served every morning. Another nice bonus is that you can soak in a multi-colored bubble bath after a long day of sightseeing.
Hotel & Spa Lotus
This is a love hotel, designed especially for adults and is located near the Takeda Subway Station in the southern part of Kyoto. A perfect place to go as a couple and I would definitely recommend it because my girlfriend and I had an amazing stay there. There was free Wi-Fi and free parking which made it convenient for us to park our rental car.
The rooms are just amazing and decorated in a sophisticated style, each of them containing flat TV screens and a seating area. There was also a computer so you can easily have access to the Internet. I was amazed when I saw the bathtub, like it is created for love.
The spa center is the place where my girlfriend and I spent a lot of time. My girlfriend especially enjoyed the massages, facial/body treatments and the simple morning breakfast. We stayed here for 3 days total, so I can say the service was great, no complaints about this hotel.
There is also an elevator, air conditioning, luggage storage and much more. Those guests that are staying for 2 nights need to depart from the room during the day and the luggage can be left in storage. The minimum age for guests is 18 years, as this is logical since it is a hotel for adults.
The hotel is located in an area from where you can easily access sightseeing and visit some of the best parts of the city. The front desk is available 24 hours per day where you can consult with a staff member, but be reminded that not all staff speak English.
Hotel Fine Garden Kyoto Minami
This hotel is located in the Fushimi Ward which is a superb choice for tourists who want to explore the city temples, restaurants and sightseeing. It’s a 20 minute taxi ride to Kyoto Station and Takeda Station is located a 15 minute walk away.
There’s a sweet private ensuite bathroom, with a hot tub and my girlfriend especially liked the lighting options for the room. Rooms here have a comfy sofa and are stylishly modern. They also offer karaoke, Nintendo Wii and around-the-clock room service with plenty of tasty options to choose from.
Staff at the front desk spoke minimal English but still managed to direct us where we needed to go. All-in-all this love hotel comes reasonably priced and as a love hotel, we knew what to expect, so nothing about it bothered us at all.
Hotel Dessert Hills
This is another cool love hotel that is designed especially for adults and is located in Kyoto, Japan. You will love this hotel from the moment you enter at the reception and each room provides a modern interior where you can relax with your partner.
The rooms are comfortable, each provided with air conditioning, electric kettle, private bathroom, shower, hair dryer, large TV screen, coffee vending machine, massage chairs, disposable utensils and love items. When booking you can specify your preferences regarding the room, so you can get the full service from the hotel.
Hotel Dessert Hills is definitely worth the price, so if you ever find yourself in Kyoto with your beloved and want to try a different type of hotel experience, book a room here.
Hotel Grand Fine Kyoto Okazaki
Kyoto Train Station is just a 15 minute taxi ride from the hotel and Heian Shrine and Yasaka Castle is a 15 minute walk away. Located in the Sakyo Ward, it’s a nice area for couples wanting to experience the culture and history of Kyoto. We had no option to book a non-smoking room, however the faint smoke smell did not really bother us.
I’m always surprised at how elegant and beautiful the interiors are for love hotels in general. Rooms are equipped with an ensuite bathroom, DVD player, TV and a king bed. There were free beauty products laid out for my girlfriend to use and also free coffee.
In conclusion, I can say that these were my best choices for coolest love hotels while visiting Kyoto. You and your partner can enjoy and relax while being pampered with their services.
