Discover the Top 5 Coffee Shops in Shibuya

After spending a few hours in the park or in the mall, your girlfriend may be wondering where you will be taking her for a cup of wonderful coffee. Shibuya is home to so many different coffee shops that offer everyone a cup of freshly brewed, delightful coffee at a good price. My girlfriend loves coffee and so I decided to take her to Shibuya.

Where to Find the Best Shibuya Cafés and Coffee Shops

I would like then to suggest the following as the leading five coffee shops that you should not miss visiting when you drop by Shibuya.

The Roastery by Nozy Coffee

The main reason to come here is for their great selection of hand-dripped and roasted high-quality coffee. The baristas here speak English and love to interact with customers. My girlfriend and I were very comfortable for they provided a vibrant atmosphere and relaxed music. The interior space is classy and if it’s a nice sunny day then grab a coffee and sit outside on the heated patio area.

You can also ask the barista to explain the coffee bean differences and smell the fresh roasts on offer. The Roastery by Nozy Coffee is situated in the Meiji-Jingumae Harajuku district, excellent for shopping and people watching. It’s a 2 minute walk to Meiji-Jingumae Station, 10 minutes on foot to JR Shibuya Station and 10 minutes to Harajuku Station. It’s an awesome place with a super convenient location.

Maidreamin’s Shibuya Digitized Cafe and Dining Bar

This coffee shop is not just offering you a cup of delightful coffee, but a nice place to eat. The live shows are interestingly unique and the maids are adorable. Women receive lace headbands and men will put on bunny ears, so don’t be embarrassed, it’s all part of the fun. If you want to taste Japanese meals shaped like cute animals, then choose to be here and enjoy food with a cup of coffee that will awaken your senses.

Their coffee has received a lot of good words and praises from customers for their dedication to providing quality food and service to everyone. I suggest that you try to bring your loved one here and be surprised to see how happy they will be.

Starbucks Coffee Shibuya Tsutaya

Starbucks will always be known as one of the most popular coffee shops anywhere in the world. Famous for being the busiest Starbucks in the world, it’s conveniently located overlooking the Shibuya Crossing. After a long and enjoyable walk from here to there, why don’t you treat your girlfriend to one of the best coffee shops in town?

It’s on the second floor, always crowded and finding a seat could take a little bit of luck and a lot of patience, especially the prime viewing seats by the window. Starbucks can be the best choice for you wherein you can get good beverages, either hot or cold, at a price that you can surely enjoy. The friendly staff speak English but sometimes I find it easier to just point to the photos.

Fuglen Tokyo

Opening its shop in May 2012, this café is known for providing fine dining experiences and I am sure that you will be glad to be here. It is very conveniently located and offers a lot of great things that we surely enjoyed. You can also order a coffee to-go and take a romantic stroll with your loved one around nearby Yoyogi Park.

The decor is cool and we noticed many patrons reading books and on their laptops. Shibuya has so many cafes but most don’t offer free Wi-Fi, so having it here is definitely a plus. The best thing is that they offer many choices when it comes to fantastic coffee. For those of you who love drinking, not only coffee but alcohol, Fuglen turns into a cocktail bar during the evening hours.

Aoyama Flower Market Tea House

Is your girlfriend a lover of both flowers and coffee? There are plants growing literally right under your glass tabletop and I am sure that she will cherish spending time here. This café has been known by many for providing a very cozy ambiance and mouth-watering beverages at reasonable prices. If you’re hungry, order the French toast which is simply phenomenal.

This is a charming place with the flower shop out front and the teahouse in the back. It’s recommended to get here early or after the lunch rush as there are lineups up to 30-45 minutes long. My girlfriend absolutely adores this place that had tasty coffee, nice flowers and plants surrounding us.

So these are the top 5 coffee shops in Shibuya that you must never forget to visit for your next romantic escape to Japan.

You will surely love to be there!
